“Bagging the Waste” – The Denim Upcycle Initiative

Denim, a timeless fashion choice, unfortunately comes at a significant environmental cost. The production of a single pair of jeans can consume an alarming 1,800 to 2,500 gallons of water. The synthetic dyes used to achieve denim’s iconic blue hue generate wastewater that has even dyed some of our precious Earth’s rivers blue. Shockingly, jeans currently account for 7% of the waste in our landfills.

Here’s your chance to be part of an exclusive solution-the ‘Bagging the Waste’ limited time capsule collection, set to launch this Earth Day. This unique collection features shopping bags, totes, and duffles crafted from upcycled denim jeans, a testament to our commitment to sustainable fashion.  In addition, 10% of total proceeds from the ‘Bagging the Waste’ collection will be donated to the Keep Virginia Beautiful Organization in support of their efforts to engage and unite Virginians to improve our natural and scenic environment.

All bags are one-of-a-kind and handcrafted from reclaimed denim jeans in various denim hues. Bags are available for order, with an expected ship date of early June 2024.
